Yet one more reason to lothe.....

Terri over at A Soldier's Mind did some great detective work today and wrote an article about it here.

I read an article this morning that I found on Drudge that came from Breitbart.com that was written by a reporter from AFP. Once I read the article I immediately thought something was not right and sent it to Terri. Here is the link to the article. As you will see the reporter's name is not on there but he was an embed with the unit. Such an opportunistic dirtbag.

The AFP website doesn't tell you much so I am waiting for contact back about filing a complaint.

What an excellent post...

Not made by me but it is to good not to pass along. Visit Iraq the Model. If you don't believe me visit the current write up on pajamasmedia.

I would say at one time that it is freaking outstanding!

Wait....Hold that previous post...

According to AP, Iraqis think there lives are worse than earlier reports.

This is the thing that gets me fired up. There is a reason (actually many reasons) I hate, loathe and have a great amount of bitterness towards our MSM. Check the post right before this one and there is an article that I found that says different than what AP reports.

This weekend there was a protest in Washington, D.C. It was an anti-war protest. Of course, the anti-war side received most of the press. Never mind that the pro-victory side had more people. Never mind that the pro-victory side was more organized, had ALL of the American flags and had less time to prepare to get people there. To me a great story is a story about a person or a group of people that are playing against the odds and coming out on top. That is a good story. What is funny (funny weird, not funny ha-ha) is, that is what happened on Saturday. It is a story of group of people that are suppose to "represent" the majority of opinion (i.e. get us out of Iraq). There was suppose to be thousands upon thousands of people there to show where the majority and dominate opinion lies but yet they were out numbered by the "minority"(i.e. pro-victory). Although according to the MSM, the numbers were equal or less. However, reports from several ( meaning at least 15-20 sources) bloggers who were there most, if not all day, and their reports are much different than the MSM.

If you would like to read more about the protest that happened over the weekend, go to here, or here or here or another place here.

Enjoy and happy reading!

Iraqis think life is better...

Guess we won't be seeing this in the MSM anytime soon.

Iraq War causes problems at Walter Reed?

In essence that is what Rep. John Tierney is asking in this article.

Tierney, D-Mass., chairman of the panel, questioned whether problems at the
facility are "just another horrific consequence" of inadequate planning that
went into war in Iraq; a problem created by contracting out work there to
private business, or some other cause.

I think I would rather put my "glass is half full" spin on this situation. You can pretty much guess that this problem didn't just happen over night. In fact, if it weren't for the war the problems in the system may have never been addressed because no one has taken a serious look until now, which we are going into year number four.

Iraq Veterans Memorial

When I was over at A Soldier's Mind , one of their many informative posts announced the unveiling of a new Iraq Veteran's Memorial. You will be able to see a trailer of in on the top of my side bar.

This blog and also A Soldier's Mind will be posting the memorial on our websites. I don't know who else will be putting it on their website but the debut is March 17th!
